With great sadness, we say farewell to Jesse, a member of our Doggies for Dementia Family. Jesse and Betsy were photographed and their beautiful love story shared in 2019. They were the last photo session we were able to participate in before the Covid-19 pandemic began. Their love story is beautiful. They met in high school, however ran in different circles. They met later in life and soon became committed to one another. Jesse led a wonderful daring and exciting life and didn’t let Alzheimer’s Disease slow him down for as long as possible.
I met Betsy and Jesse during a very difficult time in my own life. The love they shared inspired me and gave me hope. I am eternally grateful for the time we spent together.
I am most fond of this statement in Jesse’s obituary, “In lieu of flowers, please spend time with someone special to you, in Jesse’s memory.” Please do so.
Please enjoy our memories of Jesse, Betsy and Happ.
This is from his obituary at Kerrville Funeral Home.
