We get to know them as they share beautiful stories of challenges and triumphs. The photos become priceless treasures, and their loved one’s stories become part of their legacy for generations to come. You might think that we wouldn’t want to document such a difficult time, however we’ve learned EVERY time of our lives is valuable. One of the saddest things is when people approach me in tears to tell me how they regret NOT getting photos before it was too late. We want to keep that from happening all while we raise awareness.”
Raising Awareness = Less Stigma and More Kindness, Compassion and Love

Why Should Doggies for Dementia Get Your Tails Wagging?
We do great work to support those impacted by dementia. We believe by raising awareness we can see a world with more kindness, compassion and love for those impacted by dementia. We fear what we don’t know about, and it is our mission to show the many faces of Alzheimer’s Disease and other kinds of dementia. We think you’ll be surprised to learn how many false assumptions fly around.
Why doggies?
#1- When we include dogs, the photo sessions become pure joy. People forget there is a photographer there, and just have fun. We are there with 2 cameras and a video recorder, all set to record valuable and sacred moments for the families we work with. We work together to share the photos and the inspiring stories so we can all learn more about dementia.
#2- Dogs are popular on social media! People will click on an adorable doggie picture and then read the story. If it was just a person, that same pic might get scrolled past. So yes, we capture the drool, smiles, wagging tail and all the other things adorable doggies do along with the family impacted by dementia who are very special.
Sessions and photos are GIFTED to families. Most sessions include 2 photo sessions-the initial session and the “Reveal” a few weeks later. They also receive a documentary style video slideshow. Now more than ever, families impacted by dementia are feeling isolated and lonely. We raise awareness with our posts, newsletters, and video blog on YouTube. Photos become priceless treasures and may be the last ones they have. There’s a clear urgency with Covid. We plan to expand our photography services to other parts of the United States in 2021. You can donate anytime AND on GivingTuesday Dec 1, Facebook will match $7 million in qualifying donations! We can do so much with your support!
